Living Care Lifestyles FAQs
Most residents and families at Living Care Lifestyles pay for Assisted Living care with income received from social security, retirement accounts, and pensions, as well as savings and the proceeds from selling a home or other property. Long-Term Care Insurance is available and is becoming more common as a resource to offset the cost of Assisted Living.
Some residents have converted life insurance policies to a loan and family members have stepped in to pay a share of the monthly cost for Assisted Living. It’s important to note that Medicare and other health insurance plans do not typically cover Assisted Living services. An option for military veterans are two programs called the VA Aid and Attendance benefits and Household allowance benefit.
Also, if your resources are limited, you or your family members should consider seeking financial assistance through programs that may be available for your specific circumstances. Because the vast majority of residents pay privately and every senior living community is different, we encourage you to speak with one of our knowledgeable staff at a Living Care Lifestyles community to learn more about the payment options we accept.
The basic monthly fee covers what is necessary for you or your loved one to live securely and comfortably. This includes an apartment or living space, housekeeping, and laundry services. We also offer many complimentary community services, activities, and amenities. To learn more, view our complete listing of Community Amenities.
Assisted Living communities cannot provide any medical or skilled nursing services, but Living Care Lifestyles care providers have built relationships with local medical professionals who provide convenient onsite care, such as temporary agency skilled nursing (VNAs), podiatry, and physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Also, it is important to understand that unless our community has facility staff with the appropriate skill, we are not allowed to administer medications to residents. However, we can assist with self-administration of medications.
No, every community is unique. At Living Care Lifestyles, we offer quality care and follow the guiding belief that if our own mother needed care – there is no question, a Living Care Lifestyles community is where she would live. This is because our residential care facility for seniors provides services for residents based on love and compassionate caregiving. This includes help with the everyday activities of living, observation, reassessment in care, and when appropriate, postural supports. Our state-of-the-art communities offer a safe and secure environment for our residents.
